As always, Channel 18 will air our foggy day schedule at approximately 6:00-6:30 a.m.  Please be aware that since we are part of the Southwest Transportation Agency, a foggy day schedule will apply to all Caruthers Area schools.  Look for Caruthers Area on your screen when the foggy season begins. You may also check the Southwest Transportation Agency website for foggy day schedule updates at www.southwestjpa.org or ValleyPBS at www.valleypbs.org. Please be aware the time delays in Plan A and Plan B only apply to Alvina School and not Caruthers High School.

Following are the three plans and what they mean:

Caruthers Area - Plan A

     A.M. - Busses run 1 hour late for Alvina only.

     P.M. - Busses run at 3:00 p.m. for all students.

     Classes - Start at 10:00 a.m.

     Arrival time at school: Students should not arrive earlier than 9:00 a.m.

Caruthers Area - Plan B

     A.M. - Busses run 2 hours late for Alvina only.

     P.M. - Busses run at 3:00 p.m. for all students.

     Classes - Start at 10:00 a.m.

     Arrival time at school:  Students should not arrive earlier than 9:00 a.m.

Caruthers Area - Plan C

     A.M. - Busses cancelled

     P.M. - Busses run at 3:00 p.m. for all students.

     Classes - Start at 10:00 a.m.

     Arrival time at school: Students should not arrive earlier than 9:00 a.m.

Breakfast will not be served on a Foggy Day schedule due to the late start.  

Note: If a foggy day schedule is called on a minimum day, school dismissal will be at 1:30.
